Frozen Brownies by Tarla Dalal

An interesting variation of the traditionally baked brownies. These rich, dense goodies are ready to eat in 1 hour.

Ingredients

Chopped dark chocolate 3/4 Cup (12 tbs) , roughly chopped
Butter 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Digestive biscuit crumbs 3/4 Cup (12 tbs) , coarsely crushed
Mixed nuts 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (cashew , almond, and walnuts)
Condensed milk 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
For greasing
Butter 1/2 Teaspoon (For greasing)
For garnish
Almond slivers 1/2 Teaspoon (as needed)
Whipped cream 1 Tablespoon , beaten (as needed)

Directions

GETTING READY

1.Grease a 6-inch round loose bottomed cake tin with butter and set aside.

MAKING

2.In a microwave safe bowl, combine dark chocolate and butter. Microwave on high for 30-40 seconds or until the chocolate melts. Mix lightly.

3.Add coarsely crushed biscuits, mixed nuts, and condensed milk. Mix gently until just combined.

4.Into the greased cake tin, pour the mixture and refrigerate for 1 hour.

FINALIZING

5.Remove brownie from tin, cut into pieces, and garnish with slivered almonds.

SERVING

6.Serve chilled.

TIPS

Keep this dessert refrigerated.
