Midnight Delight - Dark Chocolate Brownie

This baked bar is a delicious treat for all chocolate lovers. An absolute cake and cookie hybrid variety, brownies can be made by adding nuts or chocolate chips. Most commonly served with frosting or whipped cream.

Ingredients

For the dark chocolate brownie
Butter/Oil 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Dark chocolate 1 Ounce , cut into squares / small pieces
Sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Eggs 4 Medium
Vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon
Flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Salt 1/2 Teaspoon
Walnuts 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) , chopped (Optional)
For serving
Vanilla ice cream 200 Gram (Or as needed for 15 servings)
Chocolate sauce 150 Gram (Or as needed for 15 servings)

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Line a baking pan with wax paper and set aside.

2. Preheat oven to 350 F / 175 C.

MAKING

3. In a separate bowl, combine flour and salt, mix and set aside.

4. In a small saucepan, melt butter along with dark chocolate squares, stirring constantly making sure they do not burn.

5. Once completely melted, remove from the heat and stir in the sugar.

6. Once done, set the mixture aside to cool slightly.

7. Once cooled, beat in the eggs one at a time.

8. Stir in the vanilla extract.

9. Add in the flour mixture to this chocolate mixture, combine to form a smooth batter.

10. At this point, using a spatula fold in walnuts (if using).

11. Spread the batter evenly into the wax paper lined baking pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 - 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the brownie comes out clean.

SERVING

12. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream drizzled with chocolate sauce.
