This recipe is an accident I created it because all I had in the fridge one day when some unexpected guests arrived were leftover brownies so I decided to make a dessert out of them. Since then it has become one of my staples and one of my most popular desserts when I entertain.
|Brownie mix||16 Ounce|
|Fresh ricotta cheese||300 Gram|
|Fresh strawberries||1/2 Cup (8 tbs) , chopped|
|Marsala/Any liquor||2 Tablespoon|
|Icing sugar||To Taste|
|Chocolate sauce||2 Tablespoon (made with dark chocolate)|
|Icing sugar||2 Pinch|
1. Make brownies as per the package instructions. Using a cookie cutter, cut some of the brownies into rounds. If the brownie rounds are thick, cut horizontally into halves.
2. In a bowl, combine ricotta, icing sugar and marsala together. Add strawberries and mix again.
3. On a serving plate, create a stack starting with a brownie round, a spoonful of the ricotta mixture, another brownie round, more ricotta, another brownie round and a final scoop of ricotta mixture.
4. Top with chocolate syrup and sift some icing sugar just before serving.
