Apple cider vinegar | 1 1/4 Cup (20 tbs) | |
Ketchup | 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs) | |
Firmly packed light brown sugar | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Honey | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
Molasses | 2 Tablespoon | |
Worcestershire | 3 Tablespoon | |
Dijon mustard | 1 Tablespoon | |
Kosher salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Water | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) |
GETTING READY
1. Prepare the rub by mixing together brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, kosher salt, thyme and all purpose seasoning.
2. Gently spread the rub all over the brisket, reserve 2 tablespoon of the rub for later. Pat the seasonings onto the brisket.
3. Load the grill and prepare it for cooking.
MAKING
4. Place the brisket on the grill and smoke it for about 8 hours.
5. Cover the brisket in double layers of aluminium foil and place it back on the grill to cook for about 2 hours at 225 F.
6. Prepare the barbecue sauce with the all the ingredients of the sauce and 2 tablespoons of the rub. Set it aside.
SERVING
7. Slice the brisket, drizzle some barbecue sauce and serve.
