Double Chocolate Zucchini Bread

Too many summer zucchini? This is a great bread / cake for all the chocolate lovers in your family.


Dry ingredients
All purpose flour 1 Cup (16 tbs) ((400 ml))
Cocoa powder 1 Cup (16 tbs) ((Dutch
Salt 1 Teaspoon
Baking powder 1 Teaspoon ((2 ml))
Baking soda 1 Teaspoon ((2 ml))
Wet ingredients
Eggs 2
Vegetable oil 1 Cup (16 tbs) ((125 ml))
Packed brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs) ((125 ml))
Honey 1 Cup (16 tbs) ((75 ml))
Pure vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon
Other ingredients for bread
Shredded zucchini 2 Cup (32 tbs) ((500 ml))
Semisweet chocolate chips 1 Cup (16 tbs) ((250 ml))



1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F or 180 degree C.

2. Grease and flour an 8"x4" loaf pan. Set aside.


3. In a bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder and baking soda.

4. In a separate bowl, whisk together egg, vegetable oil, brown sugar, honey and vanilla extract.

5. Add the dry to the wet ingredients and gently stir together until almost no flour remains.

6. Fold in the zucchini and chocolate chips.

7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for about an hour or until a toothpick comes out with just a few moist crumbs attached.

8. Allow bread to cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then turn out onto a cooling rack to cool completely before slicing.


9. Serve and enjoy!
