Bran Applesauce Bread

Ingredients

Whole wheat flour 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)
Wheat bran 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
Baking powder 2 Teaspoon
Salt 1/2 Teaspoon
Ground cinnamon 3/4 Teaspoon
Ground nutmeg 1/8 Teaspoon
Grated lemon rind 1 Teaspoon
Eggs 2 , slightly beaten
Skim milk 1 1/4 Cup (20 tbs)
Vegetable oil 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Honey 2 Tablespoon
Vegetable cooking spray 1

Directions

MAKING

1. In a large mixing bowl combine the first 8 ingredients. Stir well.

2. Add eggs, oil and applesauce. Mix the ingredients well.

3. Add raisins. Stir well.

4. In a 8 1/2 x 4 1/2- x 3-inch loaf-pan pour the ingredients along with cooking spray.

5. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degree. Use a wooden pick to check if cooked, by checking if the wooden pick comes out clean.

6. Cool for 10 minutes in pan.

7. Remove loaf from pan and cool in wire rack.

SERVING

8. Serve bran applesauce bread warm.
