THE BEST BANANA BREAD EVER! Start your mornings off on a positive note with this chocolate banana bread full of bits and pieces of chocolate chunks for breakfast. you'll never go back to the regular kind!
|Ripe bananas||3 Large , mashed|
|Unsalted butter||1/2 Cup (8 tbs) , melted|
|Brown sugar||3/4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Ground cinnamon||1/4 Teaspoon|
|Baking soda||1 Teaspoon|
|Cocoa||1/2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chocolate chunks/Chocolate chips||1 Cup (16 tbs) (plus 1/4 cup extra for topping)|
|Roughly chopped walnuts||3/4 Cup (12 tbs) (optional)|
Preheat oven to 350°F/ 180°C.
Grease loaf pan with butter.
In a bowl, combine bananas and melted butter. Whisk well.
Add brown sugar, egg and vanilla extract. Mix well.
Add baking soda, salt, cinnamon and whisk well.
Add cocoa powder, flour and mix until well incorporated.
Fold in chocolate chunks and nuts. Transfer the mixture to prepared pan, top with chocolate chuks and pop into oven.
Bake for 50 minutes and once done allow to cool completely before slicing.
