Moist Banana Bread Recipe

Hi Guys! This Banana Bread recipe is easy to make and can be a great addition to a Mother's Day Brunch.

Ingredients

Unsalted butter 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) ((Plus 2 tablespoon for the pam))
Granulated sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Eggs 2 Large
All purpose flour 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)
Baking soda 1 Teaspoon
Salt 1 Teaspoon
Ground cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
Ground nutmeg 1/4 Teaspoon
Ripe mashed banana 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Pure vanilla extract 1 1/2 Teaspoon
Sour cream/Plain greek yogurt 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
Chopped pecans/Chopped walnuts 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (Optional)

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.

 

MAKING

2. Cream butter and sugar together until light. Add eggs to the mixture one at a time and continue to beat until nicely incorporated.

3. Meanwhile whisk together the dry ingredients like flour, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg in a separate bowl.

4. Slowly mix the dry ingredients mix with the creamed mixture.

5. Drop in mashed bananas, vanilla and sour cream to the batter and mix well.

6. Fold in chopped pecans with the batter.

7. Pour the batter into the bread tin.

8. Bake for about 55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.

9. Let the bread cool in the tin for a bit and then invert the bread on a cooling rack and cool for another hour.

 

SERVING

10. Slice and serve the delicious bread all by itself or along with your favorite spread. Enjoy.
