Baking powder | 4 Teaspoon
Sugar | 2 Teaspoon | |
Garlic powder | 1 Teaspoon
Old bay seasoning | 1/2 Teaspoon
Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Grated sharp cheddar cheese | 6 Ounce
Chopped fresh dill | 2 Tablespoon (or chives, or scallions)
Wet ingredients | ||
Cold milk | 1 Cup (16 tbs) |
GETTING READY
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
MAKING
2. In a food processor, add flour, baking powder, sugar, garlic powder, old bay seasoning, and salt. Pulse to combine.
3. Add the grated cheddar and dill to the bowl and pulse 2-3 times to distribute.
4. Into a large mixing bowl, dump the mixture and pour the milk. Use a spatula to toss the ingredients around. In order to prevent biscuits from getting tough, we want to use a light hand and only mix until the dry and wet ingredients are combined.
5. Take a cookie scoop and portion out 1/4 cup scoops of the biscuit mixture onto a baking sheet.
6. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
SERVING
7. Serve and enjoy!
TIPS
If the dough is too dry, add 1/4 cup additional milk. All the flour should be moistened, and the dough should be sticky.
