Country Ham Biscuits

Smoky ham and sharp Cheddar cheese give these drop biscuits a scrumptious, savory flavor. Perfect for breakfast, as a snack, or a dinnertime biscuit!

Ingredients

Self rising flour
Butter 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Cooked ham 1 Cup (16 tbs) , ground
Shredded sharp cheddar cheese 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)
Buttermilk 14 Tablespoon
For brushing on biscuits
Butter 3 Tablespoon

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Preheat the oven to 375 F.

MAKING

2. In a bowl, place the flour and cut in 1/2 cup butter with a pastry cutter or fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

3. Add in ham and cheese, and stir to mix.

4. Stream in buttermilk; stir with fork to form soft dough.

5. On a lightly greased baking sheet, drop heaping dollops of dough with teaspoon or small ice cream scoop.

6. Bake in oven for 10 to 13 minutes, until lightly golden.

FINALIZING

7. Melt remaining butter and brush over hot biscuits.

SERVING

8. Serve as desired.

TIPS

You can add in herbs of your choice or dip it in honey mustard dressing.
