Baking powder | 2 Teaspoon | |
Baking soda | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Butter | 4 Tablespoon | |
Buttermilk | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
For gravy: | ||
Breakfast sausage/Mexican chorizo | 8 Ounce | |
Butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
Flour | 3 Tablespoon | |
Milk | 2 Cup (32 tbs) |
GETTING READY:
Preheat the oven to 450°F.
MAKING:
In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and whisk well.
Add butter, buttermilk and mix well.
Spoon the mixture on baking sheet and pop into oven.
Bake for 12-15 minutes at 450°F.
For the gravy, cook sausage in a skillet. Once done, take out the sausage, leaving fat in the skillet.
Add butter and once it melts, whisk flour.
Cook flour and once it cooks gradually add milk. Allow to simmer until the mixture thickens.
Add sausage and turn off the heat.
SERVING:
Serve biscuits with sausage gravy and enjoy!
