Bacon and Egg Breakfast Boats - Grill Dome

Bacon and Egg Breakfast Boats are easy and delicious! Add what ever ingredients you have available, bake them with a biscuit and serve them upside down as if they are floating on a biscuits! Ours are made with Canadian Bacon, hash browns, cheese, egg and a few other goodies to make your mouth water. Cooked outdoors in the Grill Dome Kamado style grill with a cast iron biscuit pan.

Ingredients

Canadian bacon slices 7
Hash brown 1 1/4 Cup (20 tbs)
Sharp cheddar cheese 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Mild salsa 7 Teaspoon
Chopped mushrooms 3 1/2 Tablespoon
Chopped onions 3 1/2 Tablespoon
Diced red onion 3 1/2 Tablespoon
Chopped red pepper 3 1/2 Teaspoon
Eggs 7
Shortening 2 Tablespoon (For Greasing)
Cheddar cheese biscuits 7 Large
Salt To Taste
Freshly ground black pepper To Taste

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Heat up the grill dome to 375 F for indirect heat with baking stone to disperse the heat.

2. Grease the cast iron muffin tins with shortening.

 

MAKING

3. Place a slice of canadian bacon at the bottom of the tins. Top it with a handful of hashbrowns. Press the contents down with the bottom of a cup so that hashbrowns settle in well. Season with salt and freshly ground pepper.

4. Add the additional ingredients such as chopped onion, chopped mushrooms, chopped red pepper as per your choice. Spread a spoonfull of salsa, if you desire.

5. Sprinkle some cheese over the top. Break open a egg a place it over the cheese. (One egg per mould).

6. Arrange one cheddar cheese biscuit over each egg in the mould.

7. Set the tin in the grill dome and let the biscuits bake for about 20 minutes or until the biscuit browns up.

 

SERVING

8. Loosen up the biscuit with a knife, invert and place the biscuits bacon side up on a serving dish and enjoy while its still warm.
