This weekend I did a pan seared steak which is easy and very tasty. Give it a try..
Rib eye steaks | 2 | |
Rosemary sprigs | 2 | |
Garlic cloves | 2 | |
Cracked black pepper | To Taste | |
Salt | To Taste | |
Butter | 1 Tablespoon | |
Olive oil | 1 Tablespoon |
MAKING
1. Sprinkle salt and pepper on both the sides of the steaks and rub well.
2. In a cast iron skillet over hot grill, heat together butter and olive oil.
3. Once the butter melts, add garlic and rosemary and stir until the garlic starts to brown.
4. Place the steaks and let it cook for 3 minutes on each side, basting the other side with oil from pan.
5. Flip the steak and cook for 3 to 4 minutes on other side, basting with hot oil.
6. Remove steak from the pan, cover with foil and let it rest on a wire rack for 15 minutes.
SERVING
7. Serve hot with a side of fried rice if desired.
