Smokey Beef Brisket

Ingredients

Liquid smoke 1 Tablespoon
Liquid smoke seasoning 1 Tablespoon
Celery seed 2 Teaspoon
Garlic powder 1 Teaspoon
Onion powder 1 Teaspoon
Worcestershire sauce 1 Teaspoon
Lean brisket 3 Pound
Salt 1/2 Teaspoon
Fresh ground pepper 1/2 Teaspoon
Bottled barbeque sauce 1 Cup (16 tbs)

Directions

GETTING READY

1) Mix together the liquid smoke, garlic powder, celery seeds, onion powder and Worcestershire sauce.

2) With the mixture, rub both sides of the brisket.

3) Put the brisket in a covered dish and place in the refrigerator to marinade overnight.

4) Preheat oven to temperature of 300 degrees.

MAKING

5) Use salt and pepper to sprinkle the marinated brisket.

6) Cover the dish with a foil and bake in preheated oven for 4 hours.

7) Uncovered and add the barbeque sauce.

8) Bake, uncovered, for another 60 minutes, occasionally basting.

SERVING

9) Serve hot.
