No Chop Beef Stir Pry


Cold water 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
Soy sauce 3 Tablespoon
Dry sherry 2 Tablespoon
Cornstarch 2 Teaspoon
Ground ginger 1/4 Teaspoon
Cooking oil 1 Tablespoon
Frozen mixed oriental vegetables 3 Cup (48 tbs) , thawed
Lean ground beef 1 Pound
Hot cooked rice/Warm chow mein noodles 1 Cup (16 tbs)


For sauce, stir together water, soy sauce, sherry, cornstarch, and ginger.

Set aside.

Preheat a wok or large skillet over high heat; add cooking oil.

(Add more oil as necessary during cooking.) Stir-fry vegetables in hot oil about 3 minutes or till crisp-tender.

Remove vegetables from the wok.

Crumble half of the ground beef into the hot wok or skillet.

Stir-fry about 3 minutes or till done.

Remove beef; drain off fat.

Stir-fry remaining beef about 3 minutes.

Drain off fat.

Return all beef to the wok.

Push from center of the wok.

Stir sauce; add to center of the wok or skillet.

Cook and stir till bubbly.

Cook and stir for 2 minutes more.

Return vegetables; stir ingredients together.

Cook and stir for 1 minute.

Serve at once over rice or chow mein noodles.
