Low Carb Chinese Beef Lo Mein

I created this recipe because I had a really bad craving for beef lo mein and wanted to stay low carb. This recipe hit the spot. I hope you all enjoy this one.


For beef marinade
Worcestershire sauce 1 Teaspoon
Brown rice vinegar 1 Tablespoon , sugar free
Sofrito 1 Tablespoon
Beef strips 1 Pound
Oyster sauce 1 Tablespoon
Chili paste 1/2 Tablespoon ((I Used Sambal Oelek Ground Fresh Chili Paste Found At Walmart Store, Zero Carb!))
Soy sauce 1 Tablespoon
Sesame oil 1 Tablespoon
Low sodium chicken broth 3 Tablespoon
Splenda 1/2 Teaspoon
Xanthan gum 1/4
For stir fry
Ginger/1 teaspoon ginger paste 1 Inch , chopped
Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm) , chopped
Broccoli 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Chopped onion 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Sliced cabbage 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Green onions 2
Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm)
Expeller pressed peanut oil 2 Tablespoon
Shirataki noodles 16 Ounce ((2 Bags))


Beef Marinate

Mix ingredients together and marinate for about 30 mins in the refrigerator.

Sauce for Beef lo mein

Mix all ingredients together leaving the xantham gum for last. Using a find strainer mix in xantum gum and sprinkle into sauce.

Heat wok and add one tablespoon peanut oil.

Add the beef and stir fry for about 4 mins and remove from the work.

Add the second tablespoon of peanut oil.

Add the garlic and ginger paste

Add cabbage and cook for about 1 minute

Add the onion and mix in with the cabbage

Add the green onions and stirfry for 1 minute

Add the broccoli

Add Half of the stir fry sauce and cook for 30 seconds.

Add the Shirataki noodles

Then add the cooked beef

Add the rest of the stir fry sauce

Cook 1 minute longer and remove from heat and serve hot!
