How to make Chili for Beginners

Do you love chili and don't know how to cook? Try this simple recipe for how to make a very basic chili. Chili is really easy to make, and you can enjoy a pot of homemade chili tonight.


Yellow onion 2 Medium , finely chopped
Ground chuck 2 Pound
Salt 2 Teaspoon , divided
Chili powder 2 Tablespoon
Paprika 1 Tablespoon
Cumin powder 1 Tablespoon
Canned diced tomatoes 29 Ounce
Canned kidney bean 29 Ounce
Canned black bean 14 1/2 Ounce
Water 8 Cup (128 tbs) (or 1 cup tomato juice)



In a Dutch oven, add in the hamburger mince and season with 1 teaspoon of salt. Break with spatula and let it brown.

When the meat is half brown, add the onion and stir well.

Season with chili powder, paprika, cumin powder and remaining salt; mix well and cook until browned.

Stir in the tomatoes and turn the heat down. Add in the kidney and black beans, followed by the water and let it simmer for 60 minutes.



Garnish the chili with some cheese and serve.
