Yellow onion | 2 Medium , finely chopped | |
Ground chuck | 2 Pound | |
Salt | 2 Teaspoon , divided | |
Chili powder | 2 Tablespoon | |
Paprika | 1 Tablespoon | |
Cumin powder | 1 Tablespoon | |
Canned diced tomatoes | 29 Ounce | |
Canned kidney bean | 29 Ounce | |
Canned black bean | 14 1/2 Ounce | |
Water | 8 Cup (128 tbs) (or 1 cup tomato juice) |
MAKING
In a Dutch oven, add in the hamburger mince and season with 1 teaspoon of salt. Break with spatula and let it brown.
When the meat is half brown, add the onion and stir well.
Season with chili powder, paprika, cumin powder and remaining salt; mix well and cook until browned.
Stir in the tomatoes and turn the heat down. Add in the kidney and black beans, followed by the water and let it simmer for 60 minutes.
SERVING
Garnish the chili with some cheese and serve.
