Choco Orange Bars

Ingredients

Butter 1 Cup (16 tbs) , softened
Sugar 1 2/3 Cup (26.67 tbs)
Eggs 3
Egg yolk 1
Orange juice 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
All purpose flour
Orange peel 3 Teaspoon , finely shredded
Pecans 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) , finely chopped
Eggs 4 Small , slightly beaten
All purpose flour
Bittersweet chocolate 8 Ounce , finely chopped
Chopped pecans 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)
Bittersweet chocolate 3 Ounce

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

2. Grease a baking pan and set aside for later use.

MAKING

3. In a bowl, combine butter with 2/3 cup of the sugar and1/4 teaspoon salt. Beat using a mixer for 30 seconds.

4. Further, mix 1 1/2 cups flour until combined.

5. Add 1 teaspoon orange peel and 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans to the mixture.

6. In the greased pan, spread this batter.

7. Bake for approximately 15 minutes or until lightly browned. The puffed batter will fall upon removing from oven.

8. Meanwhile, use a wire whisk to blend four eggs, leftover sugar, leftover orange peel, leftover orange juice and

3 tablespoons flour until smooth. Add 8 ounces finely chopped chocolate and 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans.

9. Spread this mixture over hot crust.

10. Bake again for 15 to 1 7 minutes or until set.

FINALIZING

11. Cool in pan on wire rack.

12. Melt 3 ounces chocolate and drizzle on top of the brownies.

13. Cool and cut into bars.

SERVING

14. Serve at once while still warm.
