Spicy Uncooked Fruit Nut Bars

Prunes 1 Cup (16 tbs) , pitted
Dried figs 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Seedless raisins 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Pitted dates 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Chopped pecans/Walnuts / blanched almonds 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Cloves 3⁄4 Teaspoon
Cinnamon 3⁄4 Teaspoon
Salt 3⁄4 Teaspoon
Orange juice 2 Drop
Confectioners sugar 1 Tablespoon


Put fruits and nuts through fine blade of meat grinder, mix in seasonings and just enough orange juice to make mixture hold together.

Roll or pat out 1/4" thick, cut in squares or small circles, and dredge in confectioners' sugar.

If you prefer, roll into small balls and dredge.
