How To Make Homemade Lemon Bars

Lemon bars are lemon curd filling on top of shortbread cookies. Learn how to make Lemon Bars with my recipe.


Oil 1 Tablespoon ((For greasing))
For crust:
Butter 1 Cup (16 tbs) , softened
Flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Powdered sugar 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
For filling:
Eggs 4
Lemons 2 , zested, juiced
Sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Flour 3 Tablespoon
Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
Salt 1/4 Teaspoon
Powdered sugar 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) ((For serving))



1.Preheat oven to 250F.

2.Grease pan with oil.


3.In a large bowl, combine butter, flour, powdered sugar and mix until stiff dough.

4.Transfer to pan and pat out evenly. Pop into oven and bake for 20 minutes.

5.In a large bowl, whisk eggs. Ass lemon juice, zest and whisk well.

6.Add sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and whisk well.

7.Pour over baked crust and bake again for 20 minutes.

8.Allow to cool completely and cut into squares.

9.Dust with powdered sugar before serving.


10.Serve and enjoy!
