Banana Splits

Bananas 4 Large
Heavy cream 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
Vanilla 1/2 Teaspoon
Sugar 1 Teaspoon
Vanilla ice cream 1 1/4 Pint , frozen very hard (1 block)
For decoration
Chopped walnuts 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Chocolate flake bar 1 , cut into match stick lengths
Maraschino cherries 8 , well drained
Wafers 4 (fan shaped)



1) Place 4 oval dishes in the freezer.


2) In a bowl, whip the cream with the vanilla and sugar until in soft peaks form.

3) Put the mixture into a pastry bag with a star tip.

4) Prepare bananas. Peel and cut each one in half lengthwise.

5) Cut a slice off the block of ice cream and make it same length as the bananas. Cut the ice cream lengthwise into 4 even-sized pieces.

6) Put the ice cream in dish and then, half banana on both sides of ice cream.

7) Pipe cream on top of the ice cream.

8) Place walnuts on both sides of the ice cream and sprinkle chocolate flakes over the ice cream.


9) Decorate each serving with 2 cherries and 1 fan wafer. Serve at once.
