Bananas | 4 Large , cut into fans | |
Rum | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) | |

Ground nutmeg | 1 1/2 Pinch | |
Butter | 6 Tablespoon | |
Egg white | 1 , slightly beaten | |
Soft light brown sugar | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
Vanilla ice cream/Whipped cream | 1 Pint (For Serving) |
GETTING READY
1) Put rum in a cup and place it on a stand in a pan or bowl of hot water. Warm it gently.
2) In another cup, mix together orange juice, cinnamon and nutmeg.
MAKING
3) In a large heavy bottomed skillet, melt butter.
4) Apply a coat of egg white on banana fans and put them in the skillet to cook until golden brown from both sides. Sprinkle sugar and stir in orange juice and heat.
5) Add warm rum and set a light to it. Let the flames die completely, then divide the fans and sauce between 4 warmed individual dishes.
SERVING
6) Serve banana fan flambe with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
