Baked Sweet Spare Ribs

Spare ribs 4 Pound (3
Orange 2 , zest and juice
Garlic clove 2 Large , chopped (or 4 small)
Worcestershire sauce 3 Tablespoon
Red wine 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Citrus soy sauce 2 Tablespoon
Black pepper 1/4 Teaspoon
Star anise 2
Bay leaves 2
Natural maple syrup 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Wasabi powder 1/2 Teaspoon



1. Preheat oven to 400 degree F.


2. In a deep dish, place the spare ribs in single layer.

3. Add orange zest, garlic clove, Worcestershire sauce, red wine, soy sauce, black pepper, star anise, bay leaves, maple syrup, orange juice, and wasabi powder. Flip the meat once to coat well with the marinade.

4. Pop in oven, reduce the heat to 325 degree F and cook for 1-2 hours or until done to desired doneness. Flip the meat once while cooking to avoid burning on top.

5. Transfer the ribs to a plate and strain the pan juice into a pot. Place the pot on flame and reduce the juice by half.


6. Serve ribs with reduced pan juice on top.
