Chicken Momo

This is a protein rich dish that warms the body on cold wintry evenings. The steamed dumplings are healthy as they use a minuscule amount of oil and the other nutrients remain intact.

Ingredients

For the dough
Flour 500 Gram
Salt To Taste
Vegetable oil 1 Tablespoon
For the filling
Minced chicken 250 Gram
Onion 2
Ginger 1 Inch
Garlic 1 Small
Green chili 2
Soy sauce 1 Tablespoon

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Boil the minced chicken.

2. Chop the onions, ginger, garlic and chillies finely.

MAKING

3. Take a bowl and mix the flour, oil and salt and knead it to make a soft dough.

4. In another bowl mix the minced chicken, soya sauce, and chopped ingredients together.

5. Make small balls of the dough and roll each one out.

6. Place a teaspoon of the minced chicken in the center of each rolled out dough and gather it together, sealing it at the end with your hands.

7. Place the momos in a steamer and steam for about 30 minutes.

SERVING

8. Serve hot with tomato-chilli sauce.
