A quick and easy recipe for some great Korean style ribs, grilled on my Weber.
Beef short ribs | 3 Pound , cut across the bone | |
For marinade | ||
Soy sauce | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Sugar | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Rice wine | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
White onion | 1/2 Medium , peeled and chopped | |
Honey | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Fish sauce | 2 Tablespoon | |
Minced ginger | 2 Tablespoon | |
Chili paste | 1 Tablespoon (Asian) | |
Garlic cloves | 4 , chopped | |
Asian pears | 2 , peeled, cored and chopped |
GETTING READY
1. In blender, combine soy sauce, sugar, rice wine, onion, honey, fish sauce, ginger, chilli paste, pear, and garlic. Blend well.
2. Scrape the meat as shown in the video.
3. In an airtight container, place the beef and pour marinade over top. Cover the container and pop in refrigerator for at least 5 hours or overnight.
MAKING
4. Remove meat from marinade, shake and remove the excess.
5. Place meat over indirect flame on grill and sear on both sides.
6. Transfer it to direct flame and cook until caramelized and done.
SERVING
7. Serve hot with slaw and rice.
