Aloo Til Ko Achar

This is a typical Nepali style Potato's pickle which is very spicy and piquant.


Potatoes 6 Small , boiled, peeled
Black sesame seeds 2 Tablespoon , roasted and ground
Green chili 1 Large , sliced
Fenugreek seed 1 Teaspoon (methi)
Red chili powder 1 Teaspoon
Vegetable oil 2 Tablespoon
Turmeric powder 1 Teaspoon
Lemon juice 5 Tablespoon
Sichuan pepper 1 Teaspoon
Salt 1 Teaspoon (or to taste)
Coriander leaves 1 Tablespoon , chopped



1. First add the boil potatoes on the bowl.

2. Then add the ground roasted sesame powder

3. Add sichuan pepper, red chilli and salt to taste

4. After that heat up the pan on a high flame and add 1 table spoon of oil.

5. Add fenugreek seeds and stir until brown.

6. Add turmeric powder and saute it for 3-4 seconds.

7. Then pour the mixture over the potatoes in the bowl.

8. Add lemon juice, sliced green chili and cilantro.

9. The mixture might be hot so wait for 20-30 seconds and then mix all the ingredients.

10.Sprinkle some water to give it a nice gravy consistency and mix it well.


11. Now "Aloo Til ko Achar" is ready to be served.
