Chicken Shawarma Hummus - Crowd Pleasing Dip

Creamy Hummus is topped with Olive oil and spices like paprika, cumin, oregano and sumac, followed by spiced Chicken, chickpeas, pickled turnips, parsley and pinenuts.


For hummus
Canned chickpeas 19 Ounce , drained
Lemon juice 2 Tablespoon
Olive oil 2 Tablespoon
Roasted garlic 2 Clove (10 gm)
Tahini paste 3 Tablespoon
Salt & pepper To Taste
Olive oil 1 Tablespoon (To drizzle over hummus)
For other ingredients
Boneless chicken thigh 1/2 Pound , sliced
Lemon juice 1 Tablespoon
Paprika 1/2 Teaspoon
Cumin 1/2 Teaspoon
Oregano 1/2 Teaspoon
Sumac 1/2 Teaspoon
Cinnamon 2 Pinch
Olive oil 1 Tablespoon
Seasonings 1/2 Teaspoon
Pickled turnip 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Chopped parsley 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Pine nuts 1 Teaspoon



1. Blend together chickpeas, olive oil, tahini paste, lemon juice, roasted garlic and salt and pepper to a creamy paste. Set it aside.

2. Mix paprika, cumin, sumac and oregano with the chicken pieces. Add cinnamon and olive oil. Coat the chicken well.

3. Heat oil in a pan. Sear the chicken in oil and allow it to cook.



4. Spread hummus on a platter. Drizzle some olive oil on top.

5. Sprinkle paprika, cumin, oregano and sumac over the hummus.

6. Add cooked chicken, followed by some cooked chickpeas.



7. Garnish with pickled turnips, parsley and pine nuts. Serve.
