On this video I try to take a classic cheese steak sandwich and put an Asian twist on it by making a Mongolian Cheese steak sandwich.

Soy sauce | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
Hoisin sauce | 2 Tablespoon | |
Sesame oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
White sugar | 2 Tablespoon | |
Minced garlic | 1 Tablespoon | |
Crushed red pepper flakes | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Other ingredients | ||
Chuck roast | 1/2 Pound , thinly sliced | |
Oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
Sliced onion | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
Sliced red bell pepper | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
French bread rolls | 4 | |
Pepper jack cheese slices | 4 |
MAKING
For the sauce – in a large bowl, add in all the ingredients and mix well.
Add in slices of chuck roast and marinade for a few minutes.
On a grill place a flat sheet and heat the oil. Add in the onion and red bell pepper; stir for a few minutes and set aside.
On the same sheet, add in the chuck roast and cook until done.
Mix together both the onion and meat mixture. Divide into two equal portions and place 2 slices of pepper jack cheese and let it melt.
Toast the French bread roll.
SERVING
Top the roll with the meat mixture and slice. Serve and enjoy.
