Middle Eastern spices elevate this chicken ball to an exotic status and this is the perfect make ahead and reheat appetizer to serve at a party for fuss free entertaining. Created in honor of my mom Mary's 70th birthday.
Lean ground chicken/Turkey | 1 Pound | |
Red chili flakes | 1 Teaspoon | |
Oregano | 1 Teaspoon | |
Smoked paprika | 1 Teaspoon | |
Cumin powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
Pomegranate molasses | 1 Teaspoon | |
Feta cheese | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
Red onion | 1/2 | |
Salt | To Taste | |
Pepper | To Taste | |
Chopped parsley | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
Pickled turnip | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
Oil | 2 Cup (32 tbs) (For Deep Frying) |
MAKING
Combine all the above ingredients together.
Shape and form small balls.
Heat the oil and fry the balls for 5 - 7 mins (may need less time).
Drain on a paper towel.
SERVING
Skewer with a fancy pick and serve.
