Gedempte Flaish with Apricots

Ingredients

Dried apricots 1 Pound , washed
Water 4 Cup (64 tbs)
Onions 2 , minced
Center cut chuck 3 Pound
Fat 2 Tablespoon
Kosher salt 1 1/2 Teaspoon
Bay leaf 1
Lemon juice 1 Tablespoon
Brown sugar 2 Tablespoon
Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon

Directions

GETTING READY

1) Soak apricots in water for about 1 hour.

MAKING

2) Take a skillet and melt fat in it. Add meat and onions. Cook until brown in color.

3) Add bay leaf, salt, lemon juice, cinnamon, sugar and apricots with their water.

4) Cover and cook over low heat for about 2 1/2 hours or until meat becomes tender.

SERVING

5) Remove bay leaf. Transfer to a platter and serve immediately.
