Applesauce with Cinnamon Flavor

Fresh home-made applesauce is easy enough for your kids to make (with a little help from a grown up).

Ingredients

Apples 10
Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Raisins 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Ground cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
Raw sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Or To Taste)

Directions

Core and chop the apples into 1 inch dice. Place in a food processor with the steel blade and chop until minced. You may need to do this is 2-3 batches.

Place all of the apples and about 2/3 cup of water in a sauce pan. Stir and cook over medium heat until the apples are soft and have released some of their liquid, about 5 minutes.

Spoon the cooked apples back into the food processor and blend until desired consistency. Place in a large bowl.

Add the additional 1/3 cup water, cinnamon and raisins. Mix thoroughly. Serve warm or cold.
