Caramel Apple Crisp - Easy Fall Dessert

This caramel apple crisp is SO easy to make, and is unbelievably delicious! It's perfect for fall baking and is one of the best desserts out there.

Ingredients

For topping
Flour 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Turbinado sugar/Brown sugar 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Granulated sugar 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Salt 1 Pinch
Ground cinnamon 1/2 Teaspoon
Cold unsalted butter 6 Tablespoon , cubed
Old fashioned rolled oats 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
For the filling
Granny smith apple 2 Pound
Caramel sauce/Brown sugar 3 Tablespoon
Ground cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
Lemon juice 1 Tablespoon

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

MAKING

For Topping:

2. In a bowl, combine flour, turbinado sugar, granulated sugar, salt, and cinnamon.

3. Add the butter cubes and break them down into the mixture by using the tips of your fingers and rub to mix well.

4. Stir in the rolled oats. Place the bowl into the freezer or refrigerator while you prepare the filling.

For Filling:

5. Peel, core, and cut the apples into small chunks. Toss well with the caramel sauce, cinnamon, salt, and lemon juice.

6. Pour this mixture into an 8x8 baking dish, then sprinkle the crumb topping evenly all over the top.

7. Pop in oven and bake for 1 hour or until golden brown and bubbling.

SERVING

8. Serve with ice cream and extra caramel sauce.
