Extra Crispy Apple Crisp Recipe. This is one of my favorite apple desserts and it's a great way to use apples in season. It also happens to be gluten-free.
Apples | 8 , thinly sliced | |
Juice of lemon | 1 | |
Brown sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Rolled oats | 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs) | |
Chopped filberts | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Melted butter | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Cinnamon | 1 Teaspoon | |
Nutmeg | 1 Teaspoon |
GETTING READY
Preheat oven to 375ºF.
MAKING
In a pan, place the apples and squeeze the lemon juice all over. Toss and spread them evenly.
In a medium bowl, combine together all the remaining ingredients with hands.
Spread that evenly over the apples and bake for 30 minutes.
SERVING
Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream
