For sauce | ||
Water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Vanilla | 1 Teaspoon | |
Juice of lemon | 1/2 | |
Apples | 3 , peeled, cored and diced | |
Cornstarch | 1 Tablespoon | |
Water | 2 Tablespoon |
GETTING READY
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
MAKING
For the topping – in a large bowl, add in flour, rolled oat, brown sugar and cinnamon powder. Mix with a fork and add in the butter. Stir well and set aside.
For the sauce – in a large pot, pour in water, sugar, vanilla and lemon juice. Place on stove and bring to boil.
Add in the apple and in a small bowl, mix together corn starch and water. Pour into the pot and cook until sauce is thick.
In a baking dish, pour in sauce and top with topping and bake in oven for 60 minutes.
SERVING
Serve the apple crumble with ice cream.
