Sweetened condensed milk | 14 Ounce | |
Light corn syrup | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Salt | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
Vanilla extract | 1 Teaspoon |
GETTING READY
1.Stick the wooden sticks inside the middle of the apple, starting on the stem side and set aside.
MAKING
For Caramel Sauce:
2. Place a saucepan over medium-low flame; add sugar, sweetened condensed milk, light corn syrup and salt. Place a candy thermometer in the pan, stir constantly and cook for about 35 minutes or until the temperature reaches 248 degree.
3. Once the caramel temperature is reached turn the heat off and stir in vanilla extract.
4. Coat the apples with the caramel sauce and place on parchment paper to cool completely.
SERVING
5. Serve and enjoy!
TIPS
If desired dip in sprinkles right after dipping in caramel.
