You can make creamed spinach just like the Boston Market. You will need a few simple ingredients to prepare creamed spinach. You will need frozen spinach, onions, butter, flour, sour cream and milk.
Frozen chopped spinach | 20 Ounce | |
Sour cream | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Butter | 2 Tablespoon , divided | |
Finely chopped onion | 2 Tablespoon | |
For white sauce | ||
Butter | 3 Tablespoon | |
Flour | 4 Tablespoon | |
Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
Whole milk | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Black pepper | To Taste |
MAKING
1. In a saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons butter, and saute onions for 60 to 90 seconds until translucent.
2. Add more butter and flour, mix and cook for about a minute.
3. Add half of the milk reduce the heat and stir to make the mixture lump free, cook until the sauce thickens, season with salt and pepper. Add in the remaining milk and mix. Add spinach, mix, add sour cream mix again.
SERVING
4. Serve hot.
