Betty's Easy Flour Tortilla Elephant Ears- Superbowl

In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make Flour Tortilla Elephant Ears. This is a quick and easy way to make a dramatic and delicious snack to serve during a sports event, such as the upcoming Superbowl!

Ingredients

Flour tortillas 10 (6 or 7
Peanut oil/Vegetable oil 2 Cup (32 tbs) (For deep frying)
White sugar 6 Tablespoon
Cinnamon 2 Tablespoon

Directions

MAKING

1. In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.

2. In a skillet, heat 1-inch peanut oil until it reaches 375 degree F.

3. Using tongs, place flour tortillas, one at a time into the hot oil and fry for about 10-15 seconds or until golden on one side. Flip and fry on the other side until golden and puffed.

4. Place fried tortillas on paper towel to drain.

FINALIZING

5. While warm, sprinkle elephant ears with the cinnamon sugar mixture on both sides.

SERVING

6. Serve warm or at room temperature and enjoy!
