Funeral Potatoes

Funeral Potatoes are easy to make, and they taste great. These can be put together very easily you will need frozen hash browns, sour cream, cheese, butter, and corn flakes. These can be made ahead, and heated when ready to serve.

Ingredients

Hash brown potato mix 1 Packet
Butter 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) , microwaved
Sour cream 16 Ounce
Cream of chicken soup 16 Ounce
Sweet onion 1 Large , chopped
Salt To Taste
Pepper To Taste
Shredded sharp cheddar cheese 16 Ounce
Non stick cooking spray 1
For topping
Melted butter 2 Tablespoon (as needed)
Cornflakes 2 Cup (32 tbs) , crushed

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F.

2. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking oil spray and set aside.

MAKING

3. In a large bowl, combine the hash brown potatoes with melted butter, sour cream, cream of chicken soup mix, and onion. Season with salt and pepper. Mix well.

4. Transfer the mixture into the greased baking dish. Spread evenly and sprinkle cheese on top.

5. In a small bowl, combine cornflakes with melted butter and spread it over the potato cheese mixture.

6. Cover the dish with foil and pop in oven and bake for 60 minutes or until the topping becomes golden brown.

7. Remove from oven and let stand for 15 minutes before serving.

SERVING

8. Serve and enjoy!
