Green tomatoes | 5 (4 | |
Cornmeal | 1 Cup (16 tbs) , in a shallow dish (white or yellow) | |
Salt and pepper | To Taste | |
Vegetable oil | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) (as needed) |
MAKING
1. Wash tomatoes, and slice into desired thickness (about 3/8 inch).
2. Dip tomato slices in cornmeal and fry in hot oil until brown, turning only once.
3. Remove from pan and place on paper towel to drain. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
SERVING
4. Serve hot with sauce and enjoy!
