Buttermilk Coleslaw

Creamy and tangy take on a summer classic cabbage salad recipe.

Ingredients

Cabbage head 1 Medium , shredded
Carrots 2 Medium , grated
Celery seeds 1 Teaspoon
Granulated sugar 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs) (75 ml)
Salt 1/2 Teaspoon
Pepper 1/4 Teaspoon
Milk 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) (50 ml)
Mayonnaise 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (125 ml)
Buttermilk 3 Tablespoon
White vinegar 2 Tablespoon
Lemon juice 3 Tablespoon

Directions

MAKING

1. In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, and carrot. Toss well.

2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, salt, pepper, milk, mayonnaise, buttermilk, celery seeds, vinegar and lemon juice.

3. Pour over cabbage mixture and blend well.

4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

SERVING

5. Serve and enjoy!
