All purpose flour | 2 1/2 Cup (40 tbs) | |
Baking powder | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Butter | 2/3 Cup (10.67 tbs) | |
Firmly packed light brown sugar | 2 1/4 Cup (36 tbs) | |
Eggs | 3 | |
Lemon juice | 2 Teaspoon | |
Pecans | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Semisweet chocolate chips | 1 Cup (16 tbs) |
GETTING READY
1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F.
2. Grease a 13-inch by 9-inch by 2-inch Pyrex baking dish or baking pan.
MAKING
3. In a medium-sized bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
4. In a large saucepan, melt butter over low flame.
5. Remove the pan from heat and add brown sugar in it. Stir well.
6. Add eggs, one at a time and stir well after each addition.
7. Stir in lemon juice, mix well and then add the flour mixture, a little at a time and mix well.
8. Add pecans, and semisweet chocolate chips. Fold to spread evenly.
9. Into the greased baking pan, transfer the mixture and spread evenly.
10. Pop it in oven and bake for approximately 20 minutes, or until a toothpick when inserted in the deepest part comes out clean. Do not over bake.
11. Cool in baking dish on cooling rack for 2 minutes. Cut into 1 ½-inch squares and transfer it to a cooling rack to cool completely.
