Quick and easy recipe for a pork burger, with a little island flare!
Ground pork shoulder | 1/2 Pound (1/4 pound each patty) | |
Grapeseed oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
Pineapple rings | 3 , mashed | |
Salt and pepper | To Taste | |
Potato rolls | 2 , cut in half | |
Butter | 1 Tablespoon | |
For sauce | ||
Mayonnaise | 3/4 Cup (12 tbs) | |
Honey | 1 Teaspoon | |
Habanero pepper | 2 , deseeded, chopped | |
Fresh minced ginger | 2 Teaspoon |
GETTING READY
1. For sauce, in food processor, combine mayonnaise, honey, pepper, and ginger. Blend until smooth and creamy.
2. Transfer it to a bowl and pop it in the refrigerator to chill.
3. Preheat the grill and grease it with oil.
4. Roll meat into balls and set aside.
MAKING
5. Place meat ball on the grill and smash it with a spatula into a nice and thin patty.
6. Top patties with mashed pineapple and smash to make it stick.
7. Flip and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 3-4 minute or until done.
8. Spread butter on rolls and toast them on the grill.
FINALIZING
9. On the bottom half of the roll place the patty, spread sauce on the other half and place it on the patty.
SERVING
10. Serve hot and enjoy!
