Chili Coffee Steak Rub is a recipe developed by Chef Tim Byres of Smoke and Chicken Scratch, this is a delicious steak rub that is perfect for grilling or smoking.
Dark brown sugar | 2/3 Cup (10.67 tbs) | |
Kosher salt | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Dark roast coffee | 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs) | |
Chili powder | 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs) | |
Smoked paprika | 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs) | |
Granulated sugar | 3 Tablespoon | |
Granulated garlic | 2 Tablespoon | |
Ground cumin | 1 Tablespoon | |
Cayenne pepper | 1 Teaspoon | |
Jersey boneless short rib steak | 2 Pound |
GETTING READY
1. In a medium sized bowl, place all ingredients except the meat and blend with a whisk.
2. Blend with hands if necessary to break up any clumps.
3. Place in an airtight container.
4. Use 2 tablespoons per 1 pound of meat.
5. Let the rub sit on the ribs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 24 hours, overnight would be ideal too.
MAKING
6. Grill or smoke the meat. If you are grilling, couple of minutes on each side would yield perfect results.
SERVING
8. Serve with a side of pecan pesto pasta or any side dish of your choice.
