Crispy Baked Cajun Fries

Forget fast food fries! Make your own bangin', healthier, oven baked fries at home. These fries bake up crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Loaded with a ton of homemade Cajun spice blend for those that like it SPICY!!! Now all you need is a juicy turkey burger (see that video recipe below) and you are set to enjoy your own homemade, healthy " 4"

Ingredients

Russet potatoes 3 Medium
Canola oil 4 Tablespoon
Chili powder 1 Teaspoon
Salt 1 Teaspoon
Black pepper powder 1 Teaspoon
Garlic powder 1 Teaspoon
Sugar 1 Teaspoon
Oregano 1 Teaspoon
Cayenne 1/2 Teaspoon
Paprika 1/2 Teaspoon
Turmeric 1 Dash
Onion powder 1 Dash (optional)

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Preheat oven to 475

2. Wash potatoes

3. Slice potatoes into strips.

4. Cover with hot water and let sit for 20 minutes.

MAKING

5. Prepare the Cajun blend by combining all spices in a bowl, set aside.

6. Drain potatoes and dry them off thoroughly.

7. Brush a baking pan with 3 tablespoons of oil and sprinkle pan with 1/3 of the Cajun seasoning.

8. Toss the potatoes with 1 tablespoon of oil and sprinkle lightly with seasoning.

9. Place the potatoes on the pan in a single layer.

10. Cover with foil and bake 5 minutes.

11. Remove foil and continue baking for another 15-20 minutes until golden brown on the bottom.

12. Flip potatoes and continue baking until crisp and golden, about 10-15 minutes. Keep an eye on them.

13. Remove from oven and sprinkle with the rest of the Cajun seasoning.

14. Drain on paper towels.

SERVING

15. Serve hot.
