Heavy Cream Waldorf Salad

Ingredients

Ripe apples 3 Large , cored and cut into 1/2
Strained fresh lemon juice 2 Tablespoon
Celery stalks 3 Medium , trimmed and cut into 1/4
Coarsely chopped walnuts 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Mayonnaise/Unsweetened bottled mayonnaise 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Freshly Made)
Heavy cream 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Boston lettuce head/Bibb lettuce head 2 , separated into leaves, washed, patted dry and chilled

Directions

MAKING

1 In a deep bowl, mix the apples and lemon juice.

2 Gently turn the apple pieces with a spoon to moisten them evenly.

3 Stir in the celery and walnuts.

4 In another bowl, combine the mayonnaise and cream, mixing until the mixture is smooth.

5 Pour it over the apples.

6 Toss all the ingredients together.

7 Shape the lettuce leaves into cups and set on 6 or 8 chilled individual serving plates.

8 Divide the Waldorf salad equally in the cups.

SERVING

9 Serve at once.
