Southern Crab Cakes

Mayonnaise 2 Tablespoon
Dry mustard 1/2 Teaspoon
Cayenne pepper 1/8 Teaspoon
Tabasco sauce 1/8
Salt 1/2 Teaspoon
White pepper 1/2 Teaspoon
Tartar sauce 2 Tablespoon
Fresh dill 3 Tablespoon
Onions 3 , minced
Parsley 3 , minced
Lemon juice 1 Teaspoon
Crab meat 1 Pound , picked to remove shell
Fresh parsley 3 , chopped
Cracker crumbs 1 1/2 Tablespoon
Vegetable oil 2 Cup (32 tbs) (for frying)
Tabasco sauce 3 Drop
Mayonnaise 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Capers 1 , chopped
Lemon wedges 3 (for garnish)



1)Take a bowl, add the egg,mayonnaise,mustard,cayenne pepper,tabasco sauce,salt, and pepper. Mix till it is smooth.

2)Add the crabmeat and parsley. Mix. Add the crumbs. Mix well.

3)Take a fork or spoon and stir gently.

4)Make into cakes of any size, and cool them in the refrigerator for upto an hour or longer

5)Take a pan,heat oil to 375 degrees in a deep fryer or a skillet.

6)Take the crab cakes, gently fry them for 3-4 minutes on each side.

7)Once done, dry them on paper towels.

8)Make a tartare sauce,mix the ingredients in a bowl.


9)Serve cakes with sauce.
