Betty's Cheesy Rice Crisps

Betty demonstrates how to make Cheesy Rice Crisps. This is a simple appetizer that may be served with or without a dip.


Butter stick 1 , softened
All purpose flour
Salt 1/2 Teaspoon
Ground cayenne pepper 1/2 Teaspoon
Finely shredded cheddar cheese 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Rice krispies cereal 1 Cup (16 tbs)



In a medium-sized bowl, combine butter and flour, using a pastry blender or large spoon. 

Blend in salt, cayenne pepper, and cheese. Fold in cereal. 

Roll into small balls and flatten with a fork on a baking pan (greased or ungreased). 

Bake at 350 degrees (F) for approximately 15 minutes. 


Remove from oven, cool slightly, and transfer to a nice serving dish.
