Betty demonstrates how to make Whisky Sundaes for Derby Day in Kentucky (May 7, 2016). These sundaes can be used as a dessert or as a drink. They contain Makers Mark bourbon whisky.
|Bourbon whisky||1 1/2 Tablespoon , divided|
|Whipping cream||1/2 Cup (8 tbs) , whipped|
|Green food colouring||3 Drop|
|Vanilla ice cream||To Taste|
|Chopped pecans||To Taste|
Fold ½ tablespoon bourbon whisky into whipped cream.
Tint pastel green, using a few drops of green food coloring. Set aside.
In sherbet glasses, place 2 or 3 dips of vanilla ice cream.
Pour ½ tablespoon bourbon whisky over the top of the ice cream.
Top with whipped cream, sprinkle with chopped pecans, and garnish with a maraschino cherry. Serve immediately and enjoy!
