How to make cranberry sauce. Homemade cranberry sauce is super quick and easy and WAY better than canned cranberry sauce! This recipe includes oranges and cardamom for an unusual twist!
Fresh cranberries/Frozen cranberries | 1 Pound | |
Seedless orange | 1 Large , scrubbed | |
Sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Cardamom seeds | 1 Teaspoon , crush (from about 10 whole pods) | |
Water | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) |
MAKING:
1.Dice the orange, skin and all.
2.Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan and stir to combine.
3.Cover and put over high heat until it boils.
4.Remove lid and cook for 5 minutes more, stirring frequently, until berries are popped and the liquid has thickened.
5.Cool completely in the refrigerator before serving.
