Betty demonstrates how to make a Cranberry-Feta Cheese Ball to serve as an appetizer for this year's Christmas table. It will be accompanied by gingersnaps and apple wedges.
Cream cheese | 8 Ounce , softened | |
Butter | 3 Tablespoon , softened | |
Lemon juice | 1 Tablespoon | |
Worcestershire sauce | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Tabasco sauce | 1 Dash | |
Salt | 1 Dash | |
Red currant jelly | 2 Tablespoon | |
Crumbled feta cheese | 4 Ounce | |
Dried cranberries | 1 Cup (16 tbs) , chop |
Making
In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, butter, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce, salt, and red currant jelly at medium speed of an electric mixer for about 2 minutes until very smooth.
Fold in feta cheese. Chill in refrigerator for about 5 minutes.
Shape into a ball and roll in chopped cranberries to coat.
Serving
Serve with gingersnaps and apple wedges.
